We have been there a couple of times and found the food to be flavorful and of good quality; while our servers have been extremely polite and courteous. The ambience is really well done and clean. They also have private areas for larger parties, which is nice.

My favorite place Mi Concinas out on Highland Ave. Delicious food and drink. We went out for my honeys birthday dinner. He ordered the special of the day street tacos. I'm in love with their potato tacos. They put a slice of cellphone between your tacos and rice and beans. For me, nothing worse than going to eat that last taco and the bottom falls out due to soaking up the beans and cheese. Mmm pineapple margarita. Delicious

First time going here. It was a great place. The food is good the waitresses and the owners are nice and the drinks are really good.

This place is kinda expensive and a little basic. But for some reason we always end up back at the Cocina. Hubby likes the margaritas and the wet Colorado carne burrito is the only thing we really get. The service is good and the chips and salsa is really good! Wish they had some music on the weekend and utilize the outdoor space better.

Not a bad spot in Highland. My boyfriend and I came here for a family gathering and it was pretty good. Although the chicken in my chimichanga was dry, the beans and rice we delicious. My boyfriend ordered a fish burrito and I was so happy they accommodated his request as it wasn't on the menu. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food as most of the plates were clean. Service was good and they even sang to my boyfriend's mom for her boyfriend. While not the most authentic Mexican food I've had, it was a nice place to be for our families to meet for the first time. They do accept reservations so if you have a big party you can sit in the larger dining area. There is ample parking which is great so no need to worry. If you need to walk off your dinner, there's a Walmart across the street as well as a Ross and other shops.

Over the past decade or more since my first review of Mi Cocina, my dining experiences have VASTLY improved. Details below! So first and foremost is their food quality. Gone is the hit-or-miss quality that I had come to expect from them after they first opened their new location. For the past 5 years or so it's been hit after hit. Their food quality has improved; and more importantly, the CONSISTENCY has become wonderful. The family and I now know to expect good food and authentic recipes. What I also like is they have a regional menu that features dishes from different areas of Mexico. They also change these dishes up now and then so you can always expect something new to try. Secondly, their service has really become nothing short of wonderful. Mi Concina is a family-run business and has been since it inception decades ago. Their commitment to customer service and their friendly, helpful attitudes have made it a joy to visit and dine here. A couple of tips here. Their bar makes some very, very tasty drinks. Their Margaritas are top-notch. Also, if you are in the mood for something spicy, try their "Shrimp Diabla". The Diabla sauce can be a bit of a challenge to a milder palate, but it doesn't overpower the food. In fact, they can make almost any dish with the Diabla sauce instead of their normal red sauce. Its always nice to see a business improve over time. Mi Cocina has really stepped up its quality and service game and has easily become our go-to spot for sit-down Mexican cuisine.

First time for me in Highland, CA. Met a friend, and we went to dinner here last night. This is a beautiful looking restaurant with a large outdoor seating area as well. Super fast service. No wait. Right at 6pm. We ordered the taco salad with beef and the two taco combo plate with one chicken and one beef taco. My usual. Both meals were excellent and large portions. The prices are very reasonable for today's times. I believe the total was $39. Not bad.
